City of Greenville Announces Downtown Music Series

City of Greenville Announces Downtown Music Series

And I just want to express our
appreciation to the City for continuing to allow us to host these weekly
concerts that help make Greenville such a vibrant place. This is a great
opportunity to have Downtown Alive and Main Street Fridays and you know what
the best is? It is family-friendly whether you are eight years old or 80
years old. And it’s free. And bringing music every Thursday and Friday night is
a great opportunity to come in and enjoy downtown Greenville. I want to say
a couple of things about Downtown Alive – since its inception in the 1980s it has
always been the single largest fundraiser for the Metropolitan Arts
Council. This season we have 25 fabulous weeks of entertainment – 23 of the bands
are new to the series and 14 of them are from the Upstate region. I will say that
Downtown Alive is probably one of the best things that Piedmont has decided to
participate in. Really, it’s about people getting together, creating community, it’s
about meeting new people, it’s about enjoying our wonderful downtown. We’re
looking forward to an amazing, amazing season – 29 wonderful evenings of live
music and family fun at NOMA Square right here on this stage. And in addition
the event will include the LGCY Power Sun Run Kids Area featuring the
children’s inflatables. It’s a great opportunity to come experience what’s so
wonderful about Greenville’s downtown and we are proud once again to be a
partner with the City. So you can find all of this information on our website
at Greenville events. We have lots of Millennials in our events group so
they’re active on social media and you can find out more information about the
lineup this year.
