– I know it. It’s so frustrating when
it’s on the tip of your tongue. – This song was just so hardcore. You thought you were
the shit, listening to this. ♪ (upbeat theme music) ♪ – (FBE) Today, we’re gonna see
how well you know various pop punk songs
from the 2000s. – Okay, I’m excited. I listen to a lot of pop punk.
That’s one of my favorite genres, so I think I’ll do decent. – There’s so many pop punk bands
from the early 2000s that I don’t know
if I know all of them or if they’re gonna have
some really bizarre name. – I’m not really confident
in knowing the title or the artist, but hopefully
I’ve heard them before. – I might get the names
right of the artist, but I probably
don’t know any songs. – I don’t really listen
to that type of genre, so we’ll see. – I feel nervous
and also kind of excited to be nostalgic again. – I think I’ll probably just do well
on the super popular ones. Other than that, it’s probably

the name “Heartbreaker,” but I have no idea who sings that. – “Heartbreaker,”
All American Rejects. – (FBE) This is “Addicted”
by Simple Plan. – Simple Plan, okay,
I’ve heard of them before, but I could not,
for the life of me, tell you any
other of their songs. – Shoot! (laughing) I was so close. – (FBE) So the band’s secret goal
was to get an offensive word on MTV without it
seeming too deliberate, and they succeeded by playing
with the words “I’m addicted to you.” So they said ♪ I’m a dick–
I’m addicted to you ♪ – Oh my god! (laughing) – That’s amazing,
how they just wanted to put a little goal,
but they made it. – I hope they didn’t write the song
solely for that purpose. – Oh my god, that is so smart. I love wordplay.
That’s great of them. ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ – ♪ Like indecision to call you ♪

get stuck in my head. I love this song.
It’s so good. Although I don’t listen
to it too often because it does make me sad. – (singing along)

that were fantastic. – If you are going to be

I think it’s very applicable to many people I know

Green Day out there. I don’t know the song or title. – “In Too Deep” by Sum 41. – It’s “In Too Deep” by Sum 41. – (FBE) This one is
“In Too Deep” by Sum 41. – Sum 41, wow. Okay. – I’ve heard the song a ton of times. It’s the anthem of teenage
coming-of-age movies of the 2000s. – (FBE) So Avril Lavigne
was actually married to the lead singer
of Sum 41 in 2006 and they were married
for four years before they got divorced. – Yeah, in my mind
Avril Lavigne’s just always a punk rock teenager. – Oh, wow, now
that I think about it, they could actually make
a really good couple and I’m sad that
they broke up, though. That’s really depressing, but cute! ♪ (quirky interlude) ♪ – ♪ Whoa, I never meant to brag ♪
