This tutorial will show you step by step how to publish your edited MagicLens presentation from the composer. First, we do this only on a single device,
then roll out the changes to all the people who have already installed your MagicLens app on their smartphone or tablet. Please log in as usual in the Composer and select the application you want to publish. First check whether all files of your MagicLens application are present in all created languages. You can see missing translations at the red flagged icon. As long as translations are missing, it is
not possible to publish the app. In our example, we remove the Chinese language under preferences to enable publishing. As you can see, none of the documents are marked red and we can start publishing. Click on the “Publish” button on the left
side of the main navigation. Assign a name for the update and, in a brief description, define what has changed for the user in this update. Your employees and customers will see this notification when they restart MagicLens and are informed about the update. Please add the description for the respective language, which is integrated in your MagicLens. Now click “Publish to testing”. This mode allows you to view your new content on a single device before it is rolled out to all other users. You can not bypass this step. You can follow the progress of the download at the bottom of the loading beam. In the “Currently Live” section you will find
the latest update under “Testing”. Take your tablet or smartphone and open your MagicLens app. From the menu in the upper right corner, you can select the user icon and select the test version for viewing. This selection can only be seen by users with administration rights. After restarting the app, all the content
that you have changed in your update is now available. If you are installing or opening the MagicLens for the first time, please check out our appinstallation tutorial. We are back on the computer and therefore in the composer under “Publish”. The “release” column contains the old version of your MagicLens until you publish the update from the test mode to all other users. This is done by clicking on “Promote to live”. Please confirm this step again in the pop-up window. Under “Older Versions”, you have access to your previous versions at any time. So if you notice a bug in your just released update: no problem. You can always restore a previous version. To do this, simply select the “Restore to
testing” button on one of the previous versions and confirm this in the pop-up window. Once again, the update will be performed on a selected device and only accessible by clicking on “Promote to live” for all other users. In the following video we will show you how your users can install the MagicLens for the first time and how your new update will be reported and installed by your users. Enjoy your MagicLens.
