Panic! At The Disco & Weezer Have Recorded Songs For Frozen 2 – News

Panic! At The Disco and Weezer to feature
on the soundtrack for Disney’s Frozen 2. Hi guys James Wilson-Taylor here for
Rock Sound, it’s one of the most anticipated films of the year the sequel
to Disney’s animated hit Frozen and we got an extra sneak peek at it earlier
this week as Disney unveiled details of the upcoming soundtrack album due out on
November 15th. New footage also included a preview of a new song from the film
entitled ‘Into the Unknown’ which will be performed by Idina Menzel who voices the
character of Elsa but wait there’s more because over the end credits you’ll be
able to hear that same epic power ballad sung by none other than Panic! At The
Disco’s Brendon Urie, yes the band announced that he will be appearing on
the film’s official soundtrack taking to Twitter to say quote “channeling Elsa for
‘Into The Unknown’ out on the Disney Frozen soundtrack on 15th of November
make sure you all listen for it when the end credits start when Frozen 2 is out
on November 22nd. This of course isn’t the first film tie-in for Brendon Urie, he
also sang on The Greatest Showman Reimagined album and performed the song
‘New Perspective’ with Panic! at the Disco for the soundtrack of Jennifer’s Body. As
for Frozen 2, country star Kacey Musgraves will also appear on the
soundtrack as will Weezer who will be performing a version over the end
credits of the song ‘Lost in the Woods’ which will be performed in the film by
Jonathan Groff’s character of Kristoff so to celebrate all this Disney news
let’s take a little dip into the Rock Sound archive and check out Brendon Urie
talking about how much he enjoyed touring with his heroes in Weezer. – One
of the first albums I stole from my sister was a cassette tape of the Blue
Album like but it goes back to me being 10 years old and wanting to learn
and teach myself drums and guitar and all this stuff to that album it was that
and a couple others but really Blue Album was where I learned drums like oh
this is a beat this is how you do this stuff ok this is what harmonies are
what’s that metal tone and guitar like oh my god it was just phenomenal and
I’ve written with Rivers a couple times and I’ve known him for a few years now
which is so bizarre to say but being on tour they’re all the nicest guys and
that’s the best you could hope for when you meet your heroes and we couldn’t
have had a better scenario it was amazing they brought their families out
everybody was so cool we all just hung out every day and it
was in the summer so like go just outside we’re all just playing
frisbee in this like just like we’re in the suburbs or something it was so so
amazing yeah that’s definitely bucket list Weezer.
